Saturday Technique Clinics

Take your dancing to the next level! These clinics focus on leaps, turns, flexibility, balance, conditioning, strength, body alignment, core stability, extension, and overall dance technique — a great complement to any dance style.

What We Teach

Class Descriptions

Littles (Ages 1-7)

Tiny Tots (ages 1-3)

Tiny Tots is a parent and me participation class for dancers ages 1-3. Throughout the class, students will be engaged in creative movement activities using fun props, music, instruments, nursery rhymes, and movement songs. Young dancers begin to develop balance, coordination, simple dance technique, fine and gross motor skills, and the value of taking turns and working together.

Parent participation is required for this fun-filled 45 minutes of dance, music and movement.

Toddler Dance (ages 2-3)

Toddler Dance is a class in which dancers take class independently while parents watch from the lobby. This is the class dancers transition to once they have done Tiny Tots and are able to leave their grown up for a 45 minute independent class. Dancers continue to build balance, coordination, simple dance technique, fine and gross motor skills, musicality, and classroom confidence.

Creative Movement (ages 3-4)

This class is designed for our new to dance dancers. Creative Movement allows children to explore their imaginations through the experience of music and movement. Props and activities create a new learning environment, while skills including marching, counting music, and basic ballet steps help with communication, memory development, and social interaction.

Dancers must be potty trained to attend.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo (ages 4-5)

Dancers in this combination class experience ballet, tap and jazz. The dancer will learn the basics of each technique in each genre. Dancers gain flexibility, basic technique, and self-confidence through repetitive motor skill, coordination, and rhythm practice while learning the importance of taking turns and working together.

Junior Combo (ages 5-7)

The Junior Combo class is a combination class which includes ballet, tap and jazz. The dancer will learn the foundations of each technique. New skills and steps are stacked onto the already established basics so dancers gain flexibility, basic technique and self-confidence through motor skill, coordination and rhythm practice.

Juniors (Ages 6-9)

Junior Ballet

  • Junior BEG Ballet
  • Junior BEG/INT Ballet
  • Junior INT/ADV Ballet*

Dancers will learn fundamental ballet skills. The class will introduce and reinforce ballet positions, the names of the ballet movements and proper technique. This form of dance is beneficial, as it is the foundation of dance and applies to so many other types of dance. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer.

In order to enroll in INT or ADV ballet, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Junior Tap/Jazz Combo

  • Junior BEG/INT Tap/Jazz Combo
  • Junior INT/ADV Tap/Jazz Combo*

Dancers will explore both tap and jazz in this hour combination class. Jazz is a high energy class in which your dancer will learn progressions and overall dance technique. In tap, your dancer will learn rhythm tap technique, develop their sense of time, coordination and musical skills. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer.

In order to enroll in INT or ADV jazz/tap, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Junior Hip Hop

  • Junior Intro to Hip Hop
  • Junior BEG/INT Hip Hop
  • Junior INT/ADV Hip Hop*

This class will introduce students to a variety of hip hop techniques and styles. These classes are for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression. Class begins with a warm-up focused on proper placement, good technique and healthy stretching, then moves into combinations across the floor or in the center.

In order to enroll in INT or ADV levels of Hip Hop, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Youth (Ages 9-12)

Youth Ballet

  • Youth BEG/INT Ballet
  • Youth INT/ADV Ballet*

Dancers will learn fundamental ballet skills and continue to develop and refine their ballet skills as they progress through the class syllabus. The class will introduce and reinforce ballet positions, the names of the ballet movements and proper technique. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer.

In order to enroll in INT or ADV level of Ballet, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Youth Jazz

  • Youth BEG/INT Jazz
  • Youth INT/ADV Jazz*

A dance class focused on the energetic and expressive style of jazz dance. These classes aim to develop coordination, flexibility, musicality, strength, and body control through a structured curriculum that includes warm-ups, stretching, across-the-floor exercises like kicks, leaps, and turns, and learning choreography.

In order to enroll in INT or ADV level of jazz, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Youth Tap

Dancers will continue to learn fundamental tap skills. Your dancer will refine rhythm tap techniques, develop their sense of time, coordination and musical skills. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer.

In order to enroll in INT/ADV level of tap, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Youth Hip Hop

  • Youth BEG/INT Hip Hop
  • Youth INT/ADV Hip Hop*

This class will teach students a variety of hip hop techniques and styles. These classes are for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression. In order to enroll in INT/ADV level of Hip Hop, dancers must be recommended by their teacher.

Youth/Teens (Ages 10+)

Pre Pointe/Pointe

Pre-pointe is for the serious dancer who aspires to be en pointe. In this class dancers will use barre work, core conditioning, along with foot and ankle strengthening exercises to enhance their future towards pointe shoes.

Dancers must be 10+ years old, have 2 consecutive years of ballet training, take a weekly ballet class in addition to pre pointe, and be recommended or evaluated by an instructor.

Youth/Teen Lyrical

Lyrical dance combines techniques of classical ballet and jazz, as well as some modern elements. Classes include warm up, isolations, stretches, across the floor progressions, and choreography combinations. These classes are for dancers who like precision and rhythm, physical challenges, and personal style and expression particularly with lyrically expressive songs.

Dancers must be currently enrolled in a ballet class to register for lyrical.

Teens (Ages 13-18)

Teen Ballet

Dancers will learn fundamental ballet skills. The class will reinforce ballet positions, the names of the ballet movements and proper technique. This form of dance is beneficial, as it is the foundation of dance and applies to so many other types of dance. A class syllabus is used, along with positive feedback to encourage the dancer.

Adults (Ages 18+)

Adult Tap and Jazz

Adult dancers will explore both tap and jazz in this hour combination class. Jazz is a high energy class in which you will learn progressions and overall dance technique. In tap, you will learn rhythm tap technique and develop your sense of time, coordination and musical skills. You do not have to have dance experience to do the adult classes.

Musical Theater (Ages 6 & Up)

Musical Theater

Musical Theatre is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on a Broadway stage. This form of dancing emphasizes performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions. Dancers will warm up and stretch for the dance component and learn select works from popular musicals.
